Why Did We Let All That Happen?

In the days of the Founding Fathers, the school was a function of the Church. The textbook was the Holy Bible.

Public schools today are supposed to be under local control. But they receive funding from government -- from your tax dollars -- and with strings attached.

Those strings are that the local schools have to teach what the Department of Education approves. They can teach your children about the Quran, or about any religion .... except Judahism or Christianity. The Holy Bible is not allowed in schools .... and they can pray to Allah, .... but no prayers in the name of Jesus are allowed. And no true American history. History has been changed to civics and social studies.

The States should be wise and reject federal funding. Local school districts should be wise and reject State funding, so the parents can have a say in what their children learn in school -- and protect them from being exposed to perverted teaching, corrupted, and dumbed down.

The schools are now a tool to keep people ignorant. One of the most important things we should not be ignorant about, is the money system -- honest weights and honest measures. Schools were not the first, of course, to block out that understanding. Evil doers influenced Alexander Hamilton to favor a central bank. One of the evil doers, Keynes, even told the truth. Thomas Jefferson gave us clear warning, but no one learns about any of this in school ...

The government schools, with complicity of the media, have been dumbing down us, and now our children, increasingly since 1913, if not earlier. Government schools teach no true history; yet, both explicitly and implicitly, they teach that the Constitution is outdated. Rather, it has been generally unheeded, increasingly since 1913.

Textbooks have been under constant revision, rewriting and rewriting history -- now devoting more words and space to Marilyn Monroe than to George Washington.

California is now giving away millions of new textbooks (purchased only a year or so ago) because they no longer conform to State law -- mandated by whom?

Even Good Teachers
Cannot Teach What They Do Not Know

What follows on this page is not to disparage, or bring indictment against, the many great teachers in the government schools. Many are dedicated, and make a great difference in the lives of their students. But, as you will soon see, the teachers are also being dumbed down.

I had some great teachers when I was in school. One I remember was my Government teacher. All in the class loved her. But even good teachers cannot teach what they do not know.

Why in the world I remember one particular day, I do not know. At that time I knew of no reason to doubt anything she said. Maybe it was because I was destined some day to discover the truth, and her words would help me to understand how deceitfully propositions are proposed to the public, and how there is a lot that even good teachers do not know.

We had been taking up the Amendments to the Constitution in numerical order. That day we came to the Seventeenth. She said, "Well, that is just a housekeeping Amendment. Let us go on to the next one." Those were her very words. I remember them clearly. That was in the early '40s. She was likely in her late teens or twenty's when it was (fraudulently) declared ratified; so that is probably the way she remembered it -- no big deal, just a housekeeping Amendment. Little did she know what I was to discover more than forty years later -- what a blow that Amendment had dealt our nation!

So, What Do They Teach in Government Schools?

Let us hear from a professor who teaches teachers, and knows what they are being taught by other professors ...
After sober and judicious consideration, and weighing one thing against another in the interests of reasonable compromise, H.L. Mencken concluded that a startling and dramatic improvement in American education required only that we hang all the professors and burn down the schools. His uncharacteristically moderate proposal was not adopted. Those who actually knew more about education than Mencken did could see that his plan was nothing more than cosmetic and would in fact provide only an outward appearance of improvement. Those who knew less, on the other hand, had somewhat more elaborate plans of their own, and they just happened to be in charge of the schools. -- Richard Mitchell in The Graves of Academe, p. 69

In another book, Less Than Words Can Say, Dr. Mitchell tells how “values clarification,” “behavior modification,” “sensitivity training,” etc., prevent the development of logical thought. They not only do not teach our children to think, they actually prevent their learning to think.

Another eye opener is Tangled Web -- A Summary by Joe Esposito. Serving on Oklahoma's School to Work Executive Council, Joe had his eyes opened about what is taught in government schools.

And still another eye opener is The Charter School Trap "... how many realize that the purpose of charter schools is not academic, but to establish a replacement structure that will focus on training for the workforce (or more simply put: limited learning for lifelong labor)?" by Charlotte Iserbyt.


No one in his right mind, after reading these books, would ever let his child darken the door of a public school today.

The government, the schools, and the media feed us lies. Why do we buy their lies? Why don’t we see through them?

We don’t see through their lies, because whoever frames the terms of the debate wins the debate. Take, for example, the 17th Amendment. The elite made no mention of the real purpose of the proposed amendment, which was for the World Money Power to take control of the Senate. Rather, appealing to the emotions of the People, they offered to give them the vote for their senators. At the same time they downplayed the importance of the proposal by relegating it to nothing but a “housekeeping amendment.”

Our Constitutional Republic has become an evil and unconstitutional Democracy. A Republic is rule by law, with protection for the rights of all, including the minority. A Democracy is rule by the majority, with no protection for the minority.

The Founding Fathers knew that a Democracy was a suicidal form of government, because when the majority discover they can vote themselves largesse out of the Treasury, to be financed by the minority, the nation goes down in fiscal disaster.

One of the issues about which many have concern --
and have proposed an amendment to address -- is the fact that Congress makes laws for themselves, exempting us, like for their salary raises, lavish health care, and lifetime full salary pensions; and laws for us, like Social Security and Medicare, and the new health care bill, exempting themselves.

But, according to James Madison, … inherent in the Constitution is this principle:

“They [Congress] can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society.” — James Madison, in the Federalist Papers #57).

Rule of law: The intent of the framers constitutes the law.
Madison was a Framer. The Constitution was framed explicitly to harness the government and to protect the people from tyranny.

For this, our juries -- both grand and petit -- are our last line of defense. Most jurors do not know that.

Our county sheriff is our first line of defense. How many sheriffs know this? Some do, as evidenced by this true story, reprinted from the Treasury of Remarkable Remedy, with permission..

A County Stands Up

The good news is that the 2500 citizens in one little county in New Mexico, where most of the property is owned by the federal government -- which had effectively put them out of business by discontinuing logging, mining, and grazing -- have taken back control of their lives.

Catron County hired a County Counsel who took seriously his job to represent the citizens instead of the government.

His premises are that the 50 States are individual sovereign nations united by voluntary agreement; and that the power of each State rests in the legal subdivisions, the counties, which are the governments closest to the sovereign people. Consequently, the citizens of the county have the final say on all public lands in their county, either federal- or state- owned. He was proven right in court!

Upon his advice the County Board of Supervisors enacted the United States Constitution as a County Ordinance.

Now federal agents have to coordinate their activity with the county government, which by state law is charged "to provide for the safety, preserve the health, promote the prosperity, and improve the morals, order, comfort, and convenience of ..." its citizens.

Catron County has now been joined by other counties of New Mexico, all the counties of Utah, and others.

The general misconception, -- fostered by government schools, as well as the media -- is that any statute bearing the appearance of law, is the law.

The U.S. Constitution [under God] is the supreme law of the land, and any statute or treaty — to be valid — must be in agreement. No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law, and no courts are bound to enforce it. (Sixteenth American Jurisprudence Second Edition, Section 177)

The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of its enactment, and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed. Such a statute leaves the question that it purports to settle just as it would be had the statute not been enacted.

Since an unconstitutional law is void, the general principles follow that it imposes no duties, confers no rights, creates no office, bestows no power or authority on anyone, affords no protection, and justifies no acts performed under it …

A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one. An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law. Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the land, it is superseded thereby.

Paying income tax makes the taxpayer an accomplice to murder, since our government financially supports Planned Parenthood, which funds abortions -- millions of babies killed -- many of them when already being born, brutally putting them through excruciating pain and then, just as brutally, simply allowing them to die a horrendously painful death.

In fact, the IRS does not put people in jail. It is the juries who do that. But jurors have not learned in school that the jurors have the right, and the duty, to judge the law as well as the fact. One juror can hang a jury, and keep you out of jail. But most judges won’t tell the jurors that.

Agreeiing with the majority is not the job of the juror. Rather, he must step forward to protect all innocent Americans from unjust laws, acting as a judge to see that justice is done. Jury Rights! Jury Nullification!

We must see to it that all prospective jurors be informed of their right and their duty, so they will know not to convict anyone of disobedience to an unconstitutional law.

In jury selection, when asked if you will go by the law as the judge directs, if you say, “Your honor, I know I have the right and the duty to judge the law as well as the facts,” it may well get you thrown off the case. But you will have informed other people in the court.

The trial jury has the final veto power over all acts of tyrannical government. It has more power than the President, the Congress, and the Supreme Court. The people have the final say, if they will use it. But most jurors do not know that. We must make an effort to inform them.

Jefferson Rejected the Notion of Treaty Supremacy


There is a general assumption that Treaties are the Law of the Land. The Constitution says so in Article VI ... but with the added qualifier that they be made under the Authority of the United States.

Like any other legislative act, to be valid, treaties must be in agreement with the Constitution, which, under God, is the Supreme Law of the Land.

The doctrine of treaty supremacy over the Constitution is unconstitutional. False iinterpretation of the proper grammatical construction of Article VI is used to justify the promotion of that doctrine. Thomas Jefferson foresaw the possibility of that happening and rejected it.

"… This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding. …" — pertinent part of Article VI,

So, the FTAA, etc., are unconstitutional on their face.


We are not generally taught in the public schools today what we need to know, either history, or how to read and to think. There is an occasional teacher who steps out of line and actually teaches. Some -- both teachers and students -- manage to learn on their own. Some are fortunate enough to be in private or home schools.
