The Treasury -- Corroborative Evidence for Remarkable Remedy
Before we can restore government accountability,
we need to discover the series of frauds by which we lost the ability to hold our government accountable.
Learn WHY Government is Not Accountable to Us
It has something to do with our paying a billion dollars per day for the use of counterfeit money.
As we see from the accounts of the FTAA, our government has long held only thinly veiled contempt for accountability to us. How did we let this happen?
As we see from the account of Prof. Elizabeth Warren, Senators are especially not accountable to us. Why is this?
Jean Carpenter spent years researching the facts and tells the story. Her book,
Remarkable Remedy
- Outlines in a nutshell the three events in one year
that produced a fundamental shift of power and loss of government accountability.
- Recalls Roger Sherman's
ingenious solution to a similar predicament in our nation's infancy.
- Liberally sprinkled throughout are
astonishing quotations bearing witness to our malaise, its cause, and its cure.
You did not learn about any of this in public school.
The Good News The Constitution needs less to be repaired than to be restored to supremacy.
That is what Remarkable Remedy is all about. Bound with Remarkable Remedy is
The Treasury
a handy volume of corroborating evidence of both the cause and the cure of government unaccountability gathered from some of the finest minds spanning three centuries.

Evidence of History
- Sockdolager: A Tale of Davy Crockett, 19th Century
A newspaper reporter’s captivating account of his unforgettable encounter with the old “Bear Hunter” from Tennessee. From “The Life of Colonel David Crockett,” by Edward S. Ellis (Philadelphia: Porter & Coates, 1884). A heart-warmng tale revealing how a private citizen confronted an honest politician with truth and logic -- and caused him to mend his ways. A "sockdolager" is a knock-down blow.
Evidence of Deceit
- The Incredible Money Caper, Part I, 20th Century
The mystery of the unbelievable magic of money is unveiled. Modern Money Mechanics, a publication of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, explains how money is created. A brief synopsis, reveals an astonishing frankness and a key to understanding our current predicament.
- The Incredible Money Caper, Part II, 20th Century
Those who were responsible for the passage of the Federal Reserve Act and those who opposed it all had some very interesting things to say about it. One who was largely responsible for it, spent the rest of his life trying to get it repealed.
- Thomas Jefferson on Banking, Early 19th Century
The Federal Reserve, by whatever name, is not a new idea. The bankers had had it in mind for more than a century. Thomas Jefferson saw its dangers and opposed it. Here he writes about banking -- and a number of other things of interest to us today.
Evidence of Theft
- The Surprising History of the Income Tax, 20th Century
Jeffrey A. Dickstein is a brilliant lawyer who has researched every income tax case since its inception. His book, Judicial Tyranny and Your Income Tax, the definitive treatise on the subject, provides: analysis of federal income tax legislation; analysis of the Pollock and Brushaber landmark decisions establishing the true purpose of the Sixteenth Amendment and the power it gave to Congress; analysis of the Internal Revenue Code with explanation of income; and case by case analyses of all federal cases that held that wages constitute income. It includes partial transcripts of his brilliant cross-examinations of IRS agents -- with their shocking admissions -- which alone are worth the price of the book. The introduction, here reprinted (slightly condensed) with permission, lays the foundation of the purpose of government and clarifies all the muddy waters about taxes.
- Forfeiture Law:
Your Possessions at Risk, 20th Century Many suppose the new laws to be a threat only to criminals -- until, innocent of any wrong doing, they are permanently deprived of their property. Whatever happened to the 4th Amendment?
- Forfeiture Law: Your Freedom at Risk, 20th Century
More tactics of federal agencies which make a mockery of the Bill of rights. Whatever happened to the Bill of Rights?
- Government for the Birds?, 20th Century
Federal usurpation of State authority — An environmentalist wonders what is the real agenda of the Environmental Protection Agency.
Evidence of Power
- The Mouse that Roars: A County Stands Up, 20th Century
The strength of local government. How one county stood up to the federal government. Other counties are following suit.
- The “Guardians of Justice”, 20th Century
A letter to the counsel for the Vice President from Mr. Thomas J. Devine, a Houston attorney, blasting his own profession. Clarifying the principle of separation of powers, he exposes atrocities -- some of which you may have experienced -- and offers a brilliant point by point solution to the problem. These are edited excerpts, reprinted from "The AntiShyster" with permission.
- States Stand Up, 20th Century
The strength of state government. How a State stood up to the federal government. Other States are following suit.
- Trial By Jury, 19th Century
Excerpts from the first chapter of an essay discussing the vital role of the jury and how it is absolutely essential to the survival of liberty -- information not generally provided by school text books. The author, Lysander Spooner, was a widely acknowledged authority on the jury system.
- Another Forgotten Check: The Grand Jury, 20th Century
Our front-line of defense against tyranny -- more information neglected in the public schools.
- Politics of Consent, 20th Century
Review of That Every Man Be Armed by Stephen P. Halbrook. He goes back two thousand years to reveal the roots of one of the most volatile issues in American life: guns. This is a review of his thoroughly documented and engrossing book.
Evidence of Law
- The Dangers of Legal Tender, 20th Century
One of the first steps in stealing the wealth of the people is to require them to accept any one form of money (legal tender laws). The whole idea is repugnant to America’s heritage and is brilliantly expounded in Saussy’s Preface to Bancroft’s A Plea For the Constitution, valiant effort to warn the nation of this deception.
- Introduction to A Plea For the Constitution, 19th Century
George Bancroft reprimands the Supreme Court. This monumental work, the “last great memorandum of law,” was published by Harpers in 1886 — five years before his death at the age of 91. This essay from the nineteenth century reveals that even then there was cause for alarm. If the publisher had not sat on the manuscript we all might have been spared much grief.
- The Welfare Clause Loophole, 18th Century
In this essay against the constitutionality of a national bank, Jefferson analyzed all the power of federal government, with special attention to the intended meaning of this clause and how any other interpretation would effectively render the whole Constitution meaningless.
- The Treaty "Supremacy" Loophole, 18th Century
Since 1920 Article VI has been interpreted to mean that treaties are superior to the Constitution and not subject to its limitations. In Jefferson’s Manual, Thomas Jefferson addressed this very problem and left absolutely no room for doubt as to the intended meaning of Article VI. He also revealed an antidote to the poison.
- The Sappers and Miners:
Jefferson on the Judiciary, 18th Century Jefferson viewed with alarm the judiciary's taking unto itself power not granted in the Constitution. Some may find these observations surprising, and most will find them thought-provoking. And many will recognize its timeliness for today.
Evidence of Reason
- Rules for Changing A Republic into a Monarchy, 18th Century
Under the aggressive leadership of Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury, economic measures were taken that favored the few. John Fenno’s "Gazette of the United States" supported Hamilton’s policies. His opponents, led by Jefferson and Madison, established a rival newspaper, the "National Gazette," to present opposing views. Philip Freneau, editor, wrote an astonishingly prophetic satire, the most appropos excerpts of which are here reprinted.
- Cradle of Unreason, 20th Century
Reviews of five books, each with a different perspective, shine a light in the darkness of public education, which has become the cradle of unreason; two of these books herald a new day about to dawn. The books are: The Graves of Academe by English Professor Richard Mitchell, Killers of Children by Psychiatrist Melvin Anchell, Educating for the New World Order by B. K. Eakman, NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education by Educator Samuel Blumenfeld, and One on One by College President George Roche.
- Focus on Congress, 20th Century
Some very interesting analyses of what Congress has become, and suggestions for remediation -- from both sides of the political spectrum: the architect of LBJ's Great Society, Richard Goodwin, and Eric Felten of the Heritage Fouindation. It is interesting to note that they are in essential agreement.
- Restoring the Dollar, 20th Century
What in this world is more mysterious and difficult to understand -- and more vital that we do understand -- than the monetary system under which we live? This is the transcript of a speech by attorney Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr., foremost constitutional monetary authority. In this exceptionally clear exposition, Dr. Vieira lifts the veil of mystery, reveals the meaning and import of words, and gives us a step by step practical plan for restoring constitutional money.
- Reconstructing the Republic:
A Constitutional Battle Plan, 20th Century An amalgamation of excerpts from two addresses by Howard Phillips, Chairman of the Conservative Caucus and the American Taxpayers Alliance, and former head of the Office of Economic Opportunity, an agency which it was his job to shut down. His experience of failure only gave him more understanding of how corruption and unconstitutional legislation has gained a foothold in Washington. In this astute assessment of the problem and carefully drafted plan for reconstructing the Republic he outlines the way back to sanity and gives answers to questions people have been asking for two decades. Though he has worked for years in Washington and knows his way around, Mr. Phillips is not just another bureaucrat.
More Evidence: A Rich Heritage
- Jefferson’s First Inaugural Address, 18h Century
Excerpt giving encapsulation of some of the political thought of one of our greatest thinkers. One would almost think he peeked into the twentieth century.
- The First National Thanksgiving, 18th Century
General Washington’s General Orders to the Army
- Washington’s Farewell Address, 18th Century
Excerpts. Words that are as pertinent today as the day they were spoken. Both Madison and Hamilton had a hand in its composition.
- A Living Voice, 20th Century
Tupper Saussy's engaging Foreword to A Caveat Against Injustice. This small vollume that laid the basis for our constitutional economic system was rescued by Saussy in 1982 from the near oblivion of only two copies in existence and republished by Spencer Judd.
- A Caveat Against Injustice, 18th Century
The immediate prosperity of the new nation under the Constitution can largely be attributed to the work of Roger Sherman (1721 - 1793), who had spent most of his life struggling with a fluctuating medium of exchange. A delegate to the Convention from Connecticut and the only man to sign all four documents pertaining to the forming of the Union, he designed our country’s monetary system with which the fledgling nation was rescued. The text, most interesting in itself, has additional value for averting any contrary judicial speculation as to the intended meaning of the monetary provision of the Constitution. For this reason we reproduce it here in its entirety. It is no small debt that we owe to this one man for the greatness that the United States achieved.
- The Price They Paid, 19th Century
What happened to the 56 brave men who signed, at the peril of their lives, the Declaration of Independence? (Taken from an old printing.)
- The Declaration of Independence, 18th Century
Drafted by Thomas Jefferson, finallized and signed by 56 brave men who were willing to pay the price of liberty — and many did.
- The U.S. Constitution: An Overview, 20th Century
A brief analysis of just what the Constitution does: how little of it is devoted to the delegation of power; and how much of it is devoted to circumscribing that power and protecting the citizen and resident.
- Constitution of the United States, 18th Century
The political masterpiece, unmatched in world history. Updated with the 27th Amendment ratified in the last decade of the 20th Century. It was proposed by James Madison around the turn of the 19th Century.
Why Do You Need this Invaluable Library of Basic yet Obscure Information?
You need this book ...
- because as you see how those three events,
plus the results of other misreadings of the Constitution, have worked (and are working) together to our detriment, you will be able to see the futility of tackling them singly, as many do.
- because you love this nation and care about its future,
which is now in much more dire jeopardy than most people realize. The Constitution was carefully and painstakingly crafted to protect us from these evils, but it cannot protect a populace ignorant of how it works.
Here is what a member of the National Committee of the Constitution Party wrote to the author of Remarkable Remedy:"You created a masterpiece! I have studied geopolitical economics over the past many years, and your books now top my list of significant documents. You bore in on what to me is our most critical issue, the debt-money system, and offer solutions. My order for more is enclosed." -- Merton Short, then State Chairman of California's American Independent Party, and National Committeeman of the Constitution Party Also ...
